Description (Service)

The Visiting Volunteer Hospice program matches trained volunteers with an individual who has been diagnosed with a life limiting illness and/or their caregiver, to provide support/respite in the individuals home of choice. Virtual meetings, and phone support is also available depending on the needs of the family.

The program aims to provide:

  • social, emotional and practical support
  • compassionate care and support
  • information and support to individuals with life limiting illness
  • trained volunteers
  • family support
  • community awareness
  • informal bereavement support

Volunteers providing supports through the Visiting Hospice program, recieve extensive training from Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth to fulfill their role in the program.

Eligibility Anyone living with or dying from a life limiting illness and their loved ones
