We are looking for Big Brothers for our Traditional Mentoring Program. We currently have 13 Little Brothers and 6 Little Sisters on our waiting list who are looking to be matched with a Big. If you have 4 hours within a month to spend with a child, contact us today!

We’re looking for: Friendly, outgoing individuals that are living with any number of chronic diseases including Arthritis, Diabetes, Pain, High Blood Pressure, Heart Disease, Stroke, Obesity and more. Working with other Peer Leader volunteers you’ll be trained in delivering the Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Condition Workshop to others in the community who are also living with a Chronic Condition.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Huron
South Huron, Northern Middlesex, Grand Bend and surrounding areas
Big Brother/Big Sister - spending a few hours a week, a one-to-one basis. The goal is to offer friendship and a positive role model to a child in need. 
 
In-School Mentor - spending one hour a week, for the duration of the school year, during school hours with a mentor. This program supports the one-to-one relationship, improving self-esteem and school interest for elementary school aged children who have been identified by school personnel as children who would benefit from the development of a supportive one-to-one relationship. 
 
Big Bunch - a group program for children who are currently on the waiting list for a Big Brother or Big Sister. This program allows children the experience of a cooperative group and a larger community, and uses volunteers who cannot commit to weekly contact and/or long term service. Group meets twice a month, the second and fourth Tuesday.

One to one mentoring of children between the ages of 6-16. Community-based mentoring, develop a positive relationship and become a positive role-model for a child.
